Continuing its drive against the Drug menace , Awantipora Police arrested 02 drug peddlers from Awantipora area .
During naka Checking at Datpora Dogripora,Police party of Police Post Reshipora under the supervision of Incharge Police Post Reshipora, Inspector Bilal Ahmad apprehended 02 drug peddlers,who were identified as :
1)Bilal Ahmad Lohrihanji S/O Ali Mohd Lohrihanji R/O Gund Prang Hajin Bandipora.
2) Reyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Gani Mir R/O Datapora Dogripora
The arrested persons were moving in suspicious circumstances and were apprehended by the naka party . During their search 1.460 Kgs of grinded Cannabis like powder was recovered from their possession . They have been arrested and shifted to police station awantipora where they remain in custody.
Case FIR No. 8/2025 under relevant section of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
The action underscores the unwavering commitment of Police Awantipora to combat the drug menace and eradicate this evil from the roots.
