Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora police arrested two drug Peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
During naka checking in area of Police Station Awantipora , police party under the supervision of SHO Police Station Awantipora Insp.Khalid Fayaz arrested two Peddler. During search, officers were able to recover 12.02 grams of brown sugar like substance from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as:
1) Muzaffer Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Sadiq Dar resident of Bonpora Lethpora.
2) Riyaz Ahmad Mir S/o Abdul Gaffar mir R/o Chati Mohalla Khunmoh Pantha Chowk.
Accordingly, case FIR NOs. 1/2025 & 2/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
