Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora Police have arrested two drug peddlers from Pampore area and recovered contraband substances and cash from their possession.
During naka checking at naka point Kadlabal Pampore , Police party of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Dy.SP(P) Shri Shravan Singh under the supervision of SDPO Pampore apprehended two drug peddlers namely
1)Firdous Ahmad Mir@ Fir Codein S/O Gh Hassan Mir R/O Kadlabal Pampore.
02)Sahil Shafi Khan S/O Mohd Shafi Khan R/O Dalgate Srinagar
The arrested persons were moving in a suspicious circumstances and during search, officers were able to recover 2.25 grams of Brown Sugar like substance and cash ₹12,000 (proceeds of narcotic crime) from their possession.
Both the arrested drug peddlers have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Case FIR Number 57/ 2025 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
