Awantipora : Continuing its drive against persons involved in illegal extraction of minerals, Awantipora Police arrested 03 persons.
Police party from Police Station Pampore headed by SHO PS Pampore Inspector Naieem Rashid arrested 03 persons namely:
1) Muzafar Ahmad Hanji S/O Mohd Maqbool Hanji R/o Bujibagh
02) Mohd Ramzan Hanji S/O Gh Mohd Hanji R/o Bujibagh
03) Mehraj-u-Din Bhat S/O Ab Aziz Bhat R/o Patalbagh involved in illegal extraction of sand and damaging embankment of river Jehulm at Patalbagh Pampore.
Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 145 /2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law.
