Handwara, kupwara January 26: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm at the District Police Lines Handwara, bringing together dignitaries, officials, security personnel, and a large number of civilians. The event, a vibrant reflection of national pride, commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by District Programme Officer Hakeem Tanveer Ahmed, followed by an inspiring address.
The occasion witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Superintendent of Police (SP) Handwara Mushtaq Ahmad, Tehsildar Handwara Zeeshan Khan, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Handwara Zaffar Iqbal, Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara Dr. Khursheed, Principal of Government Degree College (GDC) Handwara, officers from the Army, BSF, and CRPF, as well as other senior officials and members of the District Development Council (DDC).
