Many Students approached ABVP regarding the problem of allotment of examination centres for CUET UG exam
outside the valley. Students were in distraught as the journey from valley to the examination centre is very
expensive and hectic too. The Flight prices from Srinagar to other major cities costs thousands of rupees. The
transportation problem through roads is a very well-known issue. The traffic on the NH-44 remains disrupted
most of the time. Due to this thousands of students would not be able to appear for the examination and would
ultimately suffer in an yearly academic loss.
On the demands of the students, ABVP National Secretary Shri Ghulam Mustafa Ali yesterday spoke to the
Hon’ble Chairman UGC, Prof. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar regarding the issue. He conveyed the concerns of the
students to UGC Chairman. Upon his request of Shri Mustafa Ali, UGC Chairman agreed to consider the
problems of the students. He assured him that he’ll take necessary actions to resolve the problems of the
students.
