Amit Kumar From Erstwhile J&K Cadre Among Four IPS Officers Empaneled As IGPs

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of four AGMUT Cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including Amit Kumar from the erstwhile J&K cadre, to hold the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the Centre.

Amit Kumar, a 2006 batch IPS officer, has previously served in Jammu and Kashmir, holding key positions during his tenure and he is currently on a central deputation.

The other officers empaneled are Pushpendra Kumar, Vikramjit Singh, and Jatin Narwal, all from the 2006 batch.
