Awantipora Police have booked 05 notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act in Sub Division Pampore/Tral.
The 05 notorious drug peddlers are identified as :
1. Mohd Younis Qurashi R/O Basmani Mohallah Tral.
2. Tawseef Ahmad Rather R/O Panner Jageer Tral.
3.Umar Noor Mohammad @ Umgolla R/O Wuyan Khrew.
4.Showket Ahmad Bhat R/O Nader Tral.
5.Mohammad Saleem Khan R/O Handoora Tral
have been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority & subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu, District Jail Udhampur and District Jail Kathua.
Its pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against these drug peddlers and they were involved in promoting drug trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Pampore, Tral and other areas of Police District .
Consistent actions of Police against the criminals should reassure the community members that police is making all efforts to eradicate social evils and making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse.
