Awantipora Police have booked 03 notorious drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act in Sub Division Pampore/Tral.
The 03 notorious drug peddlers are identified as :
1) Rafiq Ahmad Sheikh S/O Abdul Aziz Sheikh R/O Sheikh Mohalla Machama Tral
2) Abdul Gani Mir@Gani Kak S/O Abli Mir R/O Frestabal Pampore
3) Jamsheed Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Ahmad Dar R/O Meej Pampore have been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority & subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu.
Its pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against these drug peddlers and they were involved in promoting drug trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Pampore, Tral and other areas of Police District .
Consistent actions of Police against the criminals should reassure the community members that police is making all efforts to eradicate social evils and making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse.
