In a tragic fire incident at Kursu Rajbagh, Sheikh Mohalla, Srinagar, 12 households suffered extensive damage, leaving families homeless and in distress. Senior BJP leader and former SMC Corporator, Bhat Shaheena, visited the site to assess the situation and offer her support to the affected residents.
Expressing deep concern over the plight of the displaced families, Bhat Shaheena assured them that she would take up the matter with the Divisional Commissioner and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir to seek immediate relief and assistance.
“I appeal to the LG administration to relocate these affected families to a safe location or allocate land for the construction of residential houses, ensuring their long-term rehabilitation,” she stated.
She emphasized the need for swift government intervention to provide relief, compensation, and alternative housing arrangements for the victims. She also urged the administration to strengthen fire safety measures in residential areas to prevent such incidents in the future.
Bhat Shaheena reaffirmed her commitment to working towards the welfare of the affected families and ensuring that their grievances are addressed at the highest levels of governance.
