On 05 April 2024, Police Station Awantipora received an application from one Adil Ahmad Dar resident of Gulshanpora Tral, complaining therein that some unknown burglars have stolen Copper Plates worth rupees 113000 from his shop located at Gulshanpora Tral.
Accordingly,a case FIR No: 33/2024 U/S 457, 380 IPC was registered in Police Station Tral and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, strenuous efforts were put forth by the SHO Tral by means of inspection of scene of crime, analysis of CCTV footage and collecting other corroborating evidence resulting into two involved accused were identified and arrested. The details of arrested burglars are :
1)Owais Gulzar S/o Gulzar Ahmad Bhat and
2) Fayaz Ahmad Gojar S/o Mohd Ashraf Gojar both resident of Gulshanpora Tral. During the course of further investigation, stolen property has been recovered.
Locals of the area have lauded the efforts of Awantipora Police.
