The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Amitava Chatterjee as MD & CEO of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited (JKBL) for a period of three years.
The appointment will come into effect from December 30, 2024 at a fixed pay of Rs 1.40 crore per annum.
An order issued by the RBI said in case Chatterjee is unable to take charge as MD & CEO on December 30, the Bank is advised to immediately propose a suitable interim arrangement for RBI’s approval along with a copy of the Board’s resolution.
