Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Thursday that it in a secret/covert operation arrested a terrorist in case FIR No. 02/2024 of P/S CIK from Delhi who was/is involved in terror funding and having links with terrorists of proscribed terrorist organization(s) sitting across the LOC.

The CIK said that the case was registered in P/S CIK relates to providing of logistic support to terrorists of proscribed terrorist organization(s) active in UT of J&K by variety of means including providing/passing on funds to them for carrying terrorist activities in UT of J&K. This money is being routed through various means from across LOC then pushed into India through their couriers which included arrested accused Parvez Ahmad Khan @ PK @ Sheikh Tajamul Islam @ Khalid S/O Bashir Ahmad Khan R/O Farooq Colony, Bemina, Srinagar, who was arrested in Delhi by a investigating team of CIK in collaboration with CID cell Delhi and Delhi Police.

The operation was planed at CIK Headquarters few days ago and the accused terrorist was on surveillance (both technical and physical). The accused was hiding and evading arrest and was planning to abscond from the present location. The arrest was made in compliance to a “warrant of arrest” issued by competent court at Srinagar. The arresteds terrorist will be produced before competent court at Srinagar after his transit from Delhi to Srinagar for which transit remand has been obtained from Delhi Court. Further arrests in the case are expected, reads the statement.
