Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader Of The Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi have written to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi asking him to introduce a bill during the forthcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, restoring Full Statehood to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
In the letter, the Congress leaders have stressed that restoring democratic rights and elected government is crucial for justice, peace, and development.
The Congress Party reiterated its long-standing commitment to the constitutional rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and urged the entire Indian political community to come together for the restoration in this national interest.
