Cyber Police Srinagar formally arrested Dr. Abdul Waseem alias Bari, a terminated professor from Kulgam, and Facebook ‘hawker Asifa Bashir of Srinagar. The duo is allegedly involved in uploading and disseminating objectionable content on social media.

An official confirmed that the arrests were made in connection with FIR No. 06/2025 under Sections 67 and 67-A of the IT Act, and Sections 75(3), 79, and 356(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
