The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Programme successfully concluded today at Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University, Aligarh, after two days of thought-provoking discussions, dynamic debates, and visionary deliberations. Held on March 21-22, 2025, the event brought together passionate youth representatives from Aligarh, Bulandshahr, and Sambhal, engaging in in-depth conversations on governance, policy-making, and India’s roadmap to development.

A key highlight of the event was the intense discussions on the “One Nation, One Election” initiative, which sparked insightful debates on its potential to enhance democratic efficiency, streamline governance, and ensure policy continuity across the country. Young leaders shared perspectives on electoral reforms, national stability, and the long-term benefits of synchronized elections.

The event was graced by eminent academicians and experts, including Prof. Anjana Kumari, Dr. Nirmesh Kumar, Dr. Gagan Pratap Singh, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Prof. Neeta Varshney, and Prof. N.B. Singh (Vice Chairman), alongside Tanvi Aggarwal, District Youth Officer (DYO), Nehru Yuva Kendra Aligarh. Their insights on leadership, nation-building, and democratic participation inspired participants to take an active role in shaping India’s future.

Through mock parliamentary sessions, policy discussions, and interactive dialogues, the programme empowered young minds with a deeper understanding of democratic processes and governance. Speaking at the concluding session, District Youth Officer Aligarh Tanvi Aggarwal emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping India’s electoral and policy landscape. She encouraged students to engage in informed decision-making, political awareness, and innovative solutions for national development.
