Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday said every session of Parliament is “special” in remarks that came amid demands by the opposition to convene a special session to discuss Operation Sindoor.
As the opposition questioned the haste in convening the session 47 days ahead of the actual commencement date, the minister said the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs has recommended to the president to convene the session from July 21 to August 12.
But the “actual summoning date will be counted from the day Rashtrapati ji issues the summons to call both Houses of Parliament,” the minister told reporters here. PTI
