GDC Surankote hosts thrilling T-15 Cricket match.

The GDC Surankote hosted a T-15 Cricket match bringing together the college’s staff and students in a spirited sports event. The event was spearheaded by the Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rani Mughal and was organized by the college sports committee led by Dr. Syed Ovais in collaboration with the Physical Education Department. The match brought a sense of camaraderie and competition to the campus.
Dr. Tabrak Amin Khan took charge of leading the staff team, while Mr. Samieh Raza led the student team. Prior to the match, both teams had the opportunity to engage in a brief conversation with the Principal fostering a sense of sportsmanship. The atmosphere was further enhanced as everyone including players, staff and spectators participated in chanting the Rashtragaan.
The match commenced with a toss which was won by the Staff team and opted to field first. In a span of fifteen overs, the student team managed to score 144 runs with Mr. Samieh Raza emerging as the top run-scorer with 44 runs. Dr. Muzzafar showcased his bowling prowess by taking three crucial wickets during the match.
Despite putting up a strong performance, the Staff team fell short by 21 runs in their chase. Dr. Rauf Wagay emerged as their highest scorer contributing 19 runs to the team’s total. On the other hand, Mr. Mujtaba from the student team displayed his bowling skills by taking two wickets during the match.
