In a press conference held at Hotel Radisson, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Anant Bhagwat, President and Founder of GSPFP, alongside Manoj Goyal (Treasurer), Zafar Lari (National Coordinator), and John Verghese (Secretary), captivated the media’s attention. The event featured an informative audio-visual presentation, highlighting GSPFP’s diverse initiatives across India, with a special focus on the transformative work done in Kashmir.
Dr. Bhagwat proudly shared that the organization had dedicated and extensive efforts over the past 3.5 years towards women empowerment, the anti-narcotics movement, national flag hoisting and unfurling in schools and public spaces. Furthermore, GSPFP initiated the promotion of local art, crafts, and sports in the region.
Remarkably, the youth of Kashmir warmly embraced the awareness of the G20 program in India, which Dr. Bhagwat emphasized with gratitude. He also acknowledged GSPFP’s presence in foreign countries such as the UK and the USA, yet expressed their commitment to prioritizing and consolidating their work within India before venturing abroad.
With unwavering determination, Dr. Bhagwat stressed the pressing need to address addiction-related issues that were adversely affecting the lives of Kashmiri youth. This concern had also been raised by members of the media.
