GMC Jammu Announces Revised Duty Timings for Staff

Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has revised the duty timings for its staff, implementing seasonal adjustments to working hours.

As per Government Order No. 272-JK(HME) of 2024, the regular duty hours are set from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, with a half-hour lunch break from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. On Saturdays, the working hours will be from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

A modification under Government Order No. 892-JK(HME) of 2024 introduced a winter schedule, adjusting the working hours to 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM from December 1 to February 28/29. This winter schedule will end on February 28, 2025, and the regular working hours will resume from March 1, 2025.

The administration has urged all employees to adhere to the revised timings.
