The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a preliminary inquiry into serious allegations of corruption at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC).
As per a Government order, Satnam Singh, Director Finance in the Tourism Department, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer to look into the matter.
The inquiry followed a communication from the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat dated February 27, 2025.
The allegations under investigation include fraudulent appointment and corrupt practices by Bilal Ahmad Shah, fraudulent promotion and illegal wealth accumulation by Gh Rasool Dhobi, and closure of the Recovery Section allegedly to cover up financial embezzlement.
The Inquiry Officer has been directed to submit a detailed report within three weeks from the date of the order.
