Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department has asked the Managing Directors of JPDCL (Jammu) and KPDCL (Srinagar) to submit details of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) beneficiaries within three days.

The directive is part of a proposal to provide 200 units of free electricity to AAY consumers across the Union Territory.

Officials have been instructed to share the data in the prescribed format already circulated.

The initiative aims to offer relief to economically weaker families under the centrally sponsored AAY scheme.(KNS)
