The government has decided to withdraw the order that required its employees residing in government quarters in Srinagar and Jammu to pay electricity charges at flat rates. The order has been withdrawn with immediate effect, according to a new order issued by the government. The previous order, Government Order No. 301-GAD of 2013, which mandated the payment of electricity charges by employees residing in government quarters at Srinagar and Jammu, has been cancelled.
