Gujjar Bakerwal Students Alliance (GBSA) has announced the formation of its Jammu University Unit, along with key appointments to strengthen its organisational structure and further advocate for student-related issues. This new team brings together dedicated student leaders to represent the concerns and aspirations of the Gujjar-Bakerwal community at Jammu University.

GBSA President Shahid Ayoub in a message to the team congratulated them on their appointment as GBSA office bearers and assuming charge with different roles and responsibilities and assured full support to the new team. He also said that he’s hopeful that young and dynamic team of student leaders will raise the voice of students in and outside the campus and will act as a strong pressure group.

Muzaffar Chowdhary, Vice President of GBSA congratulated Irfan Chowdhary on being appointed as President of the Gujjar Bakerwal Students Alliance for Jammu University. He wishes him good luck and assured full support to him and the entire team in their work for the students.

Irfan Chowdhary has been appointed as the President of GBSA’s Jammu University Unit. Supporting him, Nazis Akhter will serve as the Vice President, with Mumtaz Akhter elevated to the role of Senior Vice President. Additionally, Mukhtar Ahmed, Abdul Qadir (Tipu) has been designated as the General Secretary, joined by Muzzamil, Abrar, Tayab, and Irshad Chowdhary, who have been appointed as Secretaries. Shafayat and Rafi have been assigned the role of Media Coordinators, ensuring effective communication of GBSA’s initiatives. Nazir Ahmed has also been nominated as a Spokesperson, bringing further experience to the team.

Furthermore, Mohd Ashraf has been appointed as the Spokesperson for Jammu Province, highlighting GBSA’s commitment to ensuring robust representation and communication across regions.

The team appointments were announced during a well-attended meeting presided over by GBSA leaders, including Chief Patron Bilal Rashid, General Secretary organisation Sakib Chowdhary, General Secretary Tahir Mehmood Chowdhary, Chief Spokesperson Amir Chowdhary, Provincial President Jammu Murtaza Kamal, District Jammu President Kashif Chowdhary and former University Vice President Sahida Chowdhary and others. Students gathered at Jammu University to participate in meaningful dialogues, discussing a variety of pressing student issues and formulating strategies to address issues concerning Gujjar Bakerwal Students effectively.

GBSA’s Jammu University Unit aims to amplify the voices of Gujjar-Bakerwal students, ensuring that their academic, cultural, and social concerns are brought to the forefront. Through this newly appointed team, GBSA is determined to work closely with the university administration to foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all students.
