Handwara CJM Attached Over Serious Allegations Vishaish Kumar Parihar, currently serving as the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Handwara, has been attached to the office of the Registrar Judicial in Jammu following serious allegations and an enquiry report.
This action comes after the Hon’ble Full Court accepted the report dated November 30, 2023, from the Hon’ble Enquiry Judge in a meeting held on July 20, 2024. The report proposed a major punishment of dismissal from service for Shri Parihar, reads an order issued by Registrar General High Court, as per news agency KDC.
“The order, No: 8.26 of 2024/RG, issued on July 23, 2024, mandates that Shri Parihar will remain attached to the Registrar Judicial’s office with immediate effect. Furthermore, the Sub Judge of Kupwara has been directed to hold the additional charge of CJM, Handwara until further notice, reads the order.
The enquiry into Parihar’s conduct began during his tenure as the Sub Judge of Surankote and has culminated in this decisive action.
This move underscores the judiciary’s commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and accountability within its ranks, said an official.
