Helping Hands Foundation NGO Inaugurates 2nd Free Langer Khanna Near SMHS Hospital, Srinagar

Srinagar, March 09 – In a significant humanitarian initiative, We the Helping Hands Foundation NGO inaugurated its second Free Langer Khanna near SMHS Hospital, Srinagar. The initiative aims to provide free Iftari and Sehri to patients and their attendants during the blessed month of Ramadan and other months.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by SDPO MR Gunj, Mr. Junaid Wali, along with renowned political activist Mr. Manzoor Bhat, prominent social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani, and Chairman of We the Helping Hands Foundation, Mr. Umer Wani. All dignitaries addressed the gathering, SDPO MR Gunj, Mr Junaid wali said “This Free Langer Khanna is a true example of humanitarian service. It reflects the deep-rooted values of compassion and unity in our society. The police force not only ensures law and order but also stands with the community in every social cause. Renowned Political activist Mr manzoor bhat said the success of a society is measured by how it treats its weakest members. This Langer Khanna is more than just free food distribution; it is a symbol of hope and togetherness. Prominent Social worker Syed Aijaz kashani while speaking on the occasion said today is a day of immense pride for all of us as the Helping Hands NGO has taken a significant step in ensuring that no one in our community suffers due to hunger. Social work is not just about donations; it is about active participation in creating change. Also present at the event were Mr, Bhat manzoor of Downtown traders Cordination committee, Chairperson of Smile Foundation, Miss Masrat, KYC Shelter home Awantipora chairman, Mr. Musadiq Bashir, Chairman NGO helping hands jk Mr Aqib parray and Chairman,Caring People’s welfare trust, Mr. Muzamil, who extended their support and appreciation for this noble cause.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Umer Wani, Chairman of Helping Hands Foundation, reiterated the organization’s commitment to social service and welfare, highlighting that the Langer Khanna will operate throughout Ramadan to ensure that those in need do not go hungry. The initiative has been widely appreciated by the public, as it offers much-needed support to patients and their attendants who often struggle with food accessibility during their hospital stay.

Vice-president of We the Helping Hands Foundation NGO Mr Muzamil Nazir said our NGO continues to work towards the welfare of society through such impactful initiatives, fostering a spirit of kindness and generosity during the holy month.
