In a commendable effort, rescue workers involved in the Uttrakhand tunnel collapse were facilitated in New Delhi. Munna Qureshi, a key member of the rescue team, was honored by GSPFP during the ceremony.
Distinguished guests, including Senior BJP Minister Rt Lt Gen VK Singh, MOS Road and Surface Transportation and Civil Aviation, and Rt Lt Gen Ata Hasnain from NDMA, attended the event.

The rescue operation, spanning multiple weeks, unfolded in Uttrakhand after a tunnel collapse left 40 workers trapped. Despite initial challenges, the dedicated team of tunnel diggers worked tirelessly around the clock. Their perseverance paid off as all 40 laborers were successfully rescued, even after the rescue machinery initially failed.
Yana Mir appreciated the team of GSPFP, especially its president Dr Ananad for organising such a mega event in the capital city of India.
