The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has withdrawn its earlier order directing Criminal Courts to accept FIRs and Challans manually in case of technical issues with the ICIS portal. The withdrawal is effective immediately.
“High Court Order No. 2084 of 2024/RG dated 27.11.2024 whereby, the Presiding Officers of all the Criminal Courts across the UTs of J&K and Ladakh were directed to accept the FIRs and Challans manually wherever the same are not fetched through the ICIS portal due to technical snag, till such time the issue is resolved by the CCTNS team in consultation with all the concerned, shall stand withdrawn with immediate effect,” reads an order issued by Registrar General, Shahzad Azeem, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Dot Com.
