Hoax Bomb Call Triggers Panic At Jammu Railway Station

Panic spread at Jammu Railway Station on Sunday evening after an unidentified caller falsely reported the presence of a bomb.

A senior official of Jammu and Kashmir Police said an information was received about the possible presence of an explosive at the station.

“Given the sensitivity of the matter, teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Railway Police were immediately rushed to the spot and the entire area was thoroughly searched,” the official said.

After an extensive check, nothing suspicious was found and the area was declared safe.

Police have confirmed it was a hoax call and said efforts are underway to trace and identify the caller.
