Exuding hope that India and Pakistan don’t go to the extent of nuclear war, National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday said that that they have extended complete support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to decide on any action following Pahalgam terror attack.

Replying to a query on PM Modi’s statement on Armed Forces having been given full authority to take action, Abdullah said, “It is upto him (PM Modi) to take any decision.”

On Pakistan’s reported nuclear power threat, he said, “India too has a nuclear power and had even before Pakistan. I remember when I visited Pokhran with Vajpayee Ji. He had stated that we would never use it until we are attacked by someone. Like always, we won’t use it, until they (Pakistan) want to use it. But it should not happen ”

Pertinently, Abdullah had yesterday said that following the terror attack in Pahalgam, the nation wants an action beyond Balakote that would end the Pahalgam like attacks forever—(KNO)
