Kulgam : Nearly 300 quintal of sub-standard fertilizer sized by the Agriculture Department’s law enforcement agency on Tuesday at ladgoo village of south Kashmir’s kulgam district.
Sources said that the raid which was led by Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal was conducted after receiving credible inputs regarding the sub standard fertilizers and unauthorized sale and black marketing of it in kulgam.
It said that about 300 quintal of sub standard fertilizer were seized during the raid.
After the recovery of the huge quantity of sub standard fertilizer that was being used, the Director Agriculture Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal commended the joint efforts put to confiscate the poor quality material.
He assured that a strict action under the law shall be initiated against such people found involved in the use of sub standard fertilizers, the statement added.
