Husband-wife duo apprehended with heroin in Jammu

J&K Police on Tuesday apprehended a husband-wife duo in Jammu and seized a substantial quantity of heroin-like substance from their possession.

The arrests were made by Police Station Gangyal during routine checking led by SHO and SP city South Jammu.

The police team intercepted the suspects at Purmandal Morh while they were traveling on a Scooty from the Baribrahmana side towards Kunjwani. During checking around 15-16 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.

The accused have been identified as Jaspal Singh alias Deep Nagra, S/o Daler Singh, and his wife Kajal Rajput, both residents of old Satwari, Jammu.

A case under FIR No. 39/2025 has been registered under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is in progress.
