Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly condemned Israel’s deadly airstrikes on Tehran and other cities, calling it a serious crime and vowing a powerful response. He said Iran will not stay silent and will make the enemy regret this foolish act.
In a message, President Pezeshkian said that the attack, which killed many civilians including women, children, top military commanders, and nuclear scientists, was a clear violation of international laws. He called the Israeli regime “illegitimate” and said its history is full of crimes, killings, and aggression.
The President added that the Iranian nation now needs unity, trust, and solidarity more than ever. He expressed confidence that with this spirit and God’s support, Iran will give a strong, wise, and firm reply to the Israeli regime’s actions.
He said the brutal attacks show the true criminal nature of Israel and prove Iran’s long-time claim that the Zionist regime is based on violence and aggression.
Referring to the heavy loss of Iran’s top military leaders, including Major General Mohammad Baqeri, Major General Hossein Salami, Major General Gholamali Rashid, and Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh, the President recalled a famous quote from late Imam Khomeini: “Whenever a flag falls from the hands of a commander, another will lift it and continue the fight.”
President Pezeshkian also said that while Iran has always worked for peace in the region, it will act strongly to protect its land and sovereignty.
The Iranian Armed Forces are now preparing to respond to the Israeli attacks.
