The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved an amendment to the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Scheme, enhancing the annual allocation to Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from Rs 300 lakh to Rs 400 lakh starting the financial year 2025–26.

A Government Order issued by the Finance Department read, “In continuation to Government order No. 76-FD of 2025 Dated: 10/03/2025, sanction is hereby accorded to the following amendments in the existing guidelines on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Scheme with immediate effect: Enhancement of CDF from the existing Rs 300 lakhs to Rs 400 lakhs to each Hon’ble MLA per year under the scheme from the Financial year 2025–26.”

“The MLA shall recommend the works up to the annual ceiling within 90 days of commencement of the Financial year,” the order further read.
