A joint team of Jammu Police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully rescued a stranded driver from Niki Tawi following a flash flood in the early hours of Friday.

The team also requisitioned a specialized SDRF rescue unit and maintained continuous communication with the driver until their arrival

In the shortest possible time, a rescue team led by ASI Om Parkash of SDRF arrived at the scene. With coordinated efforts from Satwari Police Station and SDRF personnel, the driver-identified as Mohan Lal of Om Nagar, Gole Gujral-was successfully rescued from the middle of the river.
