Passenger vehicles are plying from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar national highway, traffic police said today.
J&K Traffic Police said that the passenger vehicles are plying from both sides on Jammu- Srinagar highway while the HMVs are plying from Srinagar towards Jammu.
“Passenger vehicles are plying from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. However, HMVs plying from Srinagar towards Jammu,” it said in a social media post.
The Traffic Police asked commuters to follow lane discipline cautioning that overtaking will cause congestion. Passengers have been advised to undertake journeys on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time and avoid unnecessary halt between Ramban and Banihal as there is apprehension of landslides and shooting stones on this stretch of the highway.
Meanwhile the Traffic Police also said that the SSG road, Bhaderwah-Chamba Road, Mughal Road and Sinthan road are still closed for travel.
