Thieves looted 19 lakh rupees from the J&K Bank branch located in Dachan area of Kishtwar district, officials said on Monday.

An official told that unidentified persons decamped with cash from the J&K Bank branch in Dachan today.

He stated that approximately 19 lakh 50 thousand rupees were taken from the branch, which remains usually cut-off during the winter period.

Efforts are underway to identify the robbers, officials said. “CCTV footage is being analyzed, and an investigation has been initiated,” the official added—(KNO)
