J&K Govt Orders Physical Verification Of Stores In R&B Department

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Works (R&B) Department has directed physical verification of all stores at the divisional level.

As per an order, Committees have been formed at the zonal level with the Chief Accounts Officer as Chairman, and Executive Engineer and Assistant Accounts Officer as members.

These committees will verify store records, assess the condition of items, and recommend disposal of surplus, obsolete, or unserviceable items within one month.

The process will be carried out under the supervision of the Chief Engineer, following GFR guidelines, and responsibility will be fixed in cases of loss due to negligence or fraud.
