Srinagar 18 May – The J&K NGOs Association convened a highly impactful open meeting today, at Tagore Hall, Srinagar. The event brought together a wide spectrum of Non-Governmental Organizations operating across Jammu and Kashmir to discuss collaborative efforts, current challenges, and strategic directions for the NGO sector in the region.

The session opened with a warm welcome to all participating organizations, setting the tone for a day of meaningful dialogue and collective brainstorming. Representatives from various NGOs highlighted the pressing issues they face in their areas of work, ranging from resource mobilization and legal hurdles to the need for greater coordination and knowledge sharing.

The meeting underscored the importance of building a unified platform for NGOs to enhance their social impact, avoid duplication of efforts, and better serve the communities across the Union Territory. Discussions also touched upon potential partnerships, government collaboration opportunities, and future joint initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development, youth engagement, and grassroots empowerment.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the Association’s initiative in organizing this timely and much-needed gathering. The conference concluded with a strong resolve to continue such collaborative dialogues and to form a permanent coordination committee to address shared concerns and amplify the collective voice of civil society in Jammu and Kashmir.
