Joint Director Poshan Project, Vinod Kumar Behnal, flagged off the ‘Poshan on Wheels’ rally on Monday at Children’s Park, Handwara. The rally, an IEC campaign aimed at spreading awareness about Poshan Schemes, witnessed participation from a large number of Anganwadi workers and other stakeholders.
DPO Officials Kupwara, CDPO Rajwar, Shakeela Bano, and CDPO Langate were also present on the occasion. The participants carried banners and placards while marching through various streets of Handwara, reinforcing the commitment to a malnutrition-free Kupwara.
Speaking at the event, the Joint Director emphasized the importance of nutrition and healthy practices. He urged officers and field functionaries to engage communities at the grassroots level, educating them about balanced diets and healthy lifestyles. He reiterated the administration’s dedication to improving health and nutrition, particularly for women and children, and encouraged active public participation in the campaign.
CDPO Rajwar, Shakeela Bano, also shared meaningful insights about the Poshan Schemes, explaining their benefits and encouraging the community to take full advantage of these initiatives for better health and nutrition.
