BJP Leader and Ex-SMC Corporator Bhat Shaheena has stated that the people of Kashmir must now confront the reality that Omar Abdullah has continuously misled them with false promises and political theatrics. For years, he and his party have exploited public emotions to maintain power while failing to deliver real progress or development.
Despite decades of National Conference rule, Kashmir continues to struggle with unemployment, corruption, and lack of basic infrastructure. Omar Abdullah speaks of development and empowerment, yet his leadership has only deepened the crisis. Instead of providing solutions, his politics have revolved around emotional manipulation and self-interest, leaving the common Kashmiri disillusioned and deprived of real opportunities.
“It is time for the people of Kashmir to make informed choices and support leadership that prioritizes transparency, good governance, and genuine progress. Kashmir deserves leaders who are committed to development and peace, not those who thrive on political deception,” Bhat Shaheena said.
The people must reject misleading narratives and choose a path that leads to a stable, prosperous future. The time for accountability and change is now.
Shaheena stated, “Providing double ration and free electricity to a small fraction of people is not real governance—it’s just a political gimmick. Omar Abdullah has played with the emotions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for years, failing to deliver meaningful change.”
She also condemned the issuance of 12 gas cylinders per year, calling it “another big joke” with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “These announcements are nothing but election-time stunts. The people must see through this deception and demand real governance that prioritizes development and prosperity for all, not just selective appeasement,” she added.
Bhat Shaheena urged the people to stay informed, reject false promises, and demand accountability from leaders who have continuously misled them.
