Keran, Kupwara : The Keran Adventure and Culture Conclave 2024 kicked off yesterday with a high-energy car rally from Srinagar to the border village of Keran, drawing over 50 participants in 11 off-road vehicles. The rally was an exciting start to a unique initiative aimed at promoting border tourism in this remote yet beautiful region of Jammu and Kashmir.
Participants, including men, women, and children, explored the scenic beauty of Keran, set up camps, and enjoyed the local culture. The adventure continued with an overnight stay in traditional homestays, where guests were treated to authentic Kashmiri cuisine. This immersive experience provided a rare opportunity to connect with the local community and appreciate the hospitality of the region.
The conclave, supported by the Indian Army, is part of a broader effort to showcase Keran as a hub of border tourism and adventure. Mr. Sajid, CEO of the Kashmir Offroad Club, expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for its invaluable support in making this event a success. Naseem Khatana, the event organizer, also thanked the people of Keran for their warm welcome and cooperation.
A special cultural program at the Zero Line of Control added a meaningful touch to the event, highlighting the rich traditions of the local Pahari community. The Keran Adventure and Culture Conclave is set to continue with more activities that blend adventure, tourism, and cultural exploration.
