Kupwara Police Arrests Bootlegger; 37 Bottles of Illicit Liquor Seized

Continuing its drive against illegal activities, Police Post Kalaroos apprehended a bootlegger and recovered 37 bottles of illicit liquor during a naka checking.A police team from Police Post Kalaroos, while conducting naka checking near Fire Service Station Kalaroos, intercepted and apprehended an individual identified as Hilal Ahmad Bhat S/O Khizar Ahmad Bhat R/O Kalaroos.During the search, 37 bottles of illegal liquor were recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 37/2025 U/S 50 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kupwara, and further investigation has been set into motion.
Kupwara Police remains committed to taking strict action against those involved in illicit activities and urges the public to cooperate in maintaining a crime-free society.General public is encouraged to report any illegal activities to the police.
