Kupwara : A comprehensive security preparedness session was held on saturday at District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Ghulam Jeelani.
The briefing, which focused on ensuring a smooth and secure environment for the upcoming third phase of the Legislative Assembly elections, saw participation from officers of the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and District Police.
During the session, SSP Kupwara provided detailed instructions regarding the security measures, law and order maintenance, and addressing terrorism-related threats in the district. He emphasized the importance of coordination among the forces for the safe conduct of the elections.
Commanding Officer of 41 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Deepak Nandal, along with key officers from the CRPF and BSF, including J.P. Sahi of CRPF 98 Bn and Jagir Chand of BSF 127 Bn, also provided insights on the duties to be performed. Additional SP Kupwara, G.M Bhat, was also present.
The officers addressed various concerns raised by participants, with SSP Kupwara assuring full cooperation from the District Police. Adhoc COs of CRPF, BSF, ITBP, Company Commanders of CAPF contingents, and District Police officers were also in attendance.
