The primary objective of the rally was to sensitize the general public about the dangers posed by narcotic substances, and to foster a shared sense of duty among citizens towards eliminating drug abuse. On the sidelines of the event, a pledge was administered to all participants, wherein they vowed to act proactively in the fight against drug addiction and its associated harms.

Several critical concerns and grassroots-level observations regarding the drug menace were articulated by students and community participants, underscoring the need for sustained awareness and enforcement efforts.

It was reiterated during the programme that Kupwara Police has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards narcotics and psychotropic substances. To this effect, numerous FIRs have been registered, and stringent legal action has been initiated against identified drug peddlers and traffickers. Simultaneously, the police continue to implement community outreach, education, and rehabilitation initiatives, aimed at preventive intervention and social reintegration of affected individuals.
