LCMA cracks down on illegal constructions; issues notices to violators

In what can be termed as another stringent measure by LCMA to create deterrence for violators in its local area, comprehensive identification process was undertaken by the Authority in the areas of Chatterham, Khimber, Syedpora Bala etc.

On the first day, 37 illegal ongoing constructions have been identified. They have been served notices and directed to stop the constructions. Further legal action shall follow.

Moreover one illegally macadamized area/approach road was also removed today near Boulevard.

General public is advised to not indulge in illegal constructions in any manner. Any structure found being illegally raised will be demolished without any notice. All those who are willing to carry on constructions must apply for the Online Building Permission System (OBPS) of LCMA for required permission.

LCMA has also started a comprehensive drive to identify illegal structures caused on water channels. Soon clearance action will be started.
