Baramulla Police said to have arrested a man accused of raping his daughter in Kalantra Payeen Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
police spokesman said Police Station Kreeri received a written complaint from one girl (name withheld) age about 19 years stating therein that she was raped by her father namely Mohd Rafeeq Mochi son of Abdul Jabbar resident of Kalantra Payeen, District Baramulla and is absconding from home.
He said, on this written complaint case FIR was registered in Police Station Kreeri under relevant sections of law.
Police Station Kreeri utilizing all technical and human sources and with strenuous efforts traced the accused and arrested him in the instant case.
Further medico legal formalities conducted of the girl and further investigation of the case is in progress, the spokesman added. (ANH)
