Media team should be well informed about developments: R P Singh

JAMMU: BJP national spokesperson R P Singh has said that the media team of the party must have full research work on the programmes and policies of the Government and set a positive narrative to defeat the false propaganda of other parties.

Addressing one-day workshop here at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar today organised by J&K BJP Media Department RP Singh touched many important points and said that the party leaders dealing with the media should be well informed about the day-to-day developments.

He discussed the preparation and the conduct of spokespersons during media interactions in TV debates and social media platforms.

The work shop was chaired by J&K BJP president ,Ravinder Raina, and besides R P Singh others who were on dais included MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, BJP chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi and BJP Media in charge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra.

BJP president Ravinder Raina said that media is an important medium of reaching the people to present viewpoint of the party on various issues, share details of the achievements of the Government and also create a positive image of the party. He said that a spokesperson holds very important responsibility to present the party in the media and social media.

BJP general secretary (org) Ashok Koul said that the BJP cadre works with an ideology of nation first, party second and self last. Every leader of the party, particularly those associated with the Media Department and the spokespersons have to get them- selves well acquainted with the party ideology and speak with the authentic data and information.

BJP general secretary Vibodh Gupta said that the list of the achievements of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is very long, as the Modi Government has created history by initiating large number of mega development projects and welfare schemes.

BJP general secretary, Dr. Devinder Manyal spoke on the preparations by the media associated party leaders in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election preparation.

BJP spokesperson Brig. Anil Gupta spoke on the exemplary leadership of PM Modi and his distinction of being a leader with honesty, dedication, commitment to serve the nation and people.

BJP chief spokesperson, Sunil Sethi spoke about the media and its management. He said that proper knowledge is a fuel for better working for media in charges and spokespersons.

BJP spokesperson RS Pathania discussed threadbare various points to improve the coordination between the media and social media platforms of the party.

BJP media incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra earlier delivered the welcome note and conducted the proceedings and BJP spokesperson, Arun Gupta presented vote of thanks.

Former VC Balbir Ram Rattan and Sanjay Bakshi were coordinators of the workshop.
