Security forces have busted a militant hideout in Sungalan forest in Anantnag, an official said on Monday.
The official told that army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG, upon receiving specific inputs cordoned off a suspected site, which resulted in busting of a militant hideout.
“A cache of arms and ammunition, besides other incriminating material, which include grenade, batteries, used cartridges, smartphone, radio, a small telescope and a power bank, cooking utensils, a gas cylinder, and bags have been recovered at the site,” the official added.
