Sources informed Tribe that a minor girl left her home on Wednesday for Pattan railway station in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district but did not return, causing panic among her family.
The family searched extensively but couldn’t locate her. Subsequently, they filed an FIR, stating that unknown persons had kidnapped their daughter from the railway station.
Following the FIR the Jammu Kashmir began their investigation. The FIR, filed under section 363 (kidnapping), indicates that the girl’s father reported her missing on June 19 2024
The case, filed as number 219 of 2024, has been assigned to a Sub-Inspector, supported by a Head Constable and other personnel for further investigation. Detailed information will be provided as a supplementary report, the FIR notes.
The Jammu Kashmir Police swiftly acted and recovered the minor girl from Pattan, Baramulla. She had been allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by three individuals in a rented accommodation in Srinagar, central Kashmir. All three suspects have been arrested, according to the Police station house officer who spoke with JK News Tribe.
